With this new update, Instagram will unify the video formats in a new section called “Instagram Video”, this functionality will be accessible from a special tab in the user’s profile.

Users will still be able to upload their content in the same way, from the camera roll by clicking on the ‘plus’ (+) sign in the top right corner of the home page and selecting ‘Publish’.

It is important to note that this grouping will not include ‘Reels’, the short video format with which Instagram has sought to compete with TikTok. This section will continue with its own space within the application. The social network said that with these changes they are looking for users to have a more optimized video experience.
